Product Description

The Tech IMU 3D is an Inertial Measurement Unit – IMU that measures triaxial magnetic field, acceleration and angular rate (gyro). A temperature output is also provided allowing the implementation of temperature compensation techniques.

The Tech IMU 3D product suite is capable of sensing +/- 2.0 gauss, +/-500 degrees/s angular rate and +/- 3g acceleration about three axes.

Tech IMU 3D provides digital outputs for angular rate, acceleration, temperature and precision references about the X, Y, and Z-axes. Available communication interfaces are USB, RS-232, CAN bus and SPI.

Other wireless communication ways using Zigbee are coming soon! The IMU provides input and output triggers, in order to be synchronized with other measurement systems. The Tech IMU 3D also allows orientation sensing used in several fields such as human capture movement and robotics.  

The Tech IMU 3D is based on MEMS technology and is available in a package measuring 27 × 35 × 13 mm.
